2019 sees many anniversaries in Bruton: 500 years since King’s School opened, 400 years since the death of Hugh Sexey, founder of Sexey’s Almshouse, 60 years since John Steinbeck lived here and 20 years since the first Bruton Festival of Arts and Packhorse Fair.
To mark these anniversaries there was exciting programme of events taking place in association with Bruton Festival of Arts including talks, performances, battle re-enactments, an art exhibition and cycling event.
